Professional Eavestrough Repair and Installation Services in Guelph

When Guelph weather swings from freeze-thaw winters and ice buildup to soaking spring rains off the Speed and Eramosa rivers, your eavestroughs take the brunt of it. D’Angelo & Sons has handled the eavestrough repair Guelph homeowners rely on since 1978, keeping rainwater moving off the roof’s edge and away from your foundation before it turns into structural damage. From the century brick homes downtown to newer builds in Westminster Woods, we repair eavestroughs, reseal joints, and replace gutters that have quietly stopped doing their job.

A failing eavestrough system rarely announces itself politely. You notice water spilling over a corner, a stain creeping down the fascia boards, or a downspout that gushes instead of drains. Our experienced team finds the real cause — not just the symptom — and fixes it with high quality materials built for Ontario. Whether you need one joint resealed or new gutters around the whole house, we bring the same standards we’re known for in Cambridge.

Why So Many Homeowners Trust D’Angelo & Sons

    Lifetime Guarantee

Every eavestrough installation we complete carries a 25-year workmanship warranty — more than double what most eavestrough companies in Guelph put in writing. Over our business lifetime we’ve learned that a real lifetime guarantee on labour is what separates a quick patch from a proper fix. It’s protection you feel years down the road, not just on install day.

    $5 Million Liability Insurance

We carry $5 million in liability insurance and stay in good standing with the WSIB, so every crew on your Guelph property is fully covered. That safeguards your home and your family if anything unexpected happens on the job. It’s a baseline we never cut corners on, and it’s why our clients trust us on the ladder.

    Home Depot Local Pros

D’Angelo & Sons is a certified Home Depot Local Pro, and we’re GAF Master Elite and T-REX Elite certified as well. Those credentials are earned through proven quality workmanship, not bought. For Guelph homeowners, it means the eavestrough installers on your roof answer to standards set by names you already trust.

    365 Days a Year

We’re staffed 365 days a year, so when an ice dam backs up your gutters in January or a summer storm tears a downspout loose in July, a real person answers. Guelph clients get genuine customer service and a real focus on customer satisfaction. That reliability is a big reason we hold an A+ BBB rating across four decades.

Matching Eavestrough Systems to Older and Newer Homes

Guelph’s housing runs the full range, and each type asks something different of an eavestrough system. The century brick and stone homes around Old University and downtown often carry their original fascia boards behind tight rooflines, where damaged fascia and the fascia repairs that follow are common and undersized gutters struggle to keep up.

dNewer subdivisions like Westminster Woods and Kortright Hills have long, complex rooflines that need more downspouts, careful pitch, and gutter guards to move water cleanly off the roof. In the University of Guelph rental districts, deferred maintenance is the rule, so we regularly find blocked gutters, clogged gutters, rotted wood, and eavestroughs that badly need cleaning.

Whatever the vintage, matching the system to the house is what makes Guelph gutters last, and a precise installation in Guelph — the same standard we bring just down Highway 7 in Waterloo — keeps water off the brick and framing. From routine eavestrough cleaning and gutter cleaning to correct sizing and pitch, we tune each system to the home it serves so it protects your foundation, keeps your Guelph gutters flowing, helps enhance curb appeal, and supports the long term performance of your home.

The Full Range of Eavestrough Services We Provide

From a single leaking seam to a full tear-off, our eavestrough services cover your entire gutter system — the eavestrough, the downspouts, and the eavestrough soffit and fascia that tie it all to your roof. Here’s what we handle most often for Guelph gutters.

    • Eavestrough Repair — We repair eavestroughs that leak, sag, or overflow — resealing joints, re-pitching runs, replacing cracked sections, and re-securing loose hangers for proper sealing at every joint. No gutter repair is too small: our eavestrough repair services cover every seam, hanger, and downspout, and we repair minor issues the same day before they grow into fascia or foundation damage, keeping your gutters watertight and your fascia dry.
    • Eavestrough Installation & Replacement — When a system is past saving, we deliver professional eavestrough replacement services from start to finish and manage the entire process for you, so our eavestrough installers strip the old runs, correct the slope, and complete a clean new eavestrough installation sized to your roofline — anything from a single-section swap to a complete replacement. We form seamless eavestroughs on site, measured and cut for a precise installation, and secure them with high quality materials and T-REX continuous fastening so your gutters stay properly secured season after season.
    • Eavestrough & Gutter Cleaning — Even the best gutters need eavestrough cleaning, so we clear debris out of the gutters, flush the downspouts, and check every joint and bracket. Gutter cleaning done right is the cheapest insurance against water damage, and regular, proper maintenance keeps clogged gutters from sending water where it doesn’t belong.
    • Gutter Guard Installation — Our team specializes in quality gutter guards that cut down clogs and the frequent cleaning that comes with Guelph’s heavy tree cover. Gutter guards keep leaves and shingle grit out while water flows freely, so your gutters stay clear right through fall.
    • Soffit & Fascia Repair — We handle fascia repairs, fascia replacement, and rotted wood removal, and we re-secure eavestroughs to solid fascia boards so they don’t pull away. Damaged fascia and poor ventilation trap moisture, so sound soffit and fascia with proper ventilation protect your attic insulation and roofing system and improve energy efficiency — keeping the attic drier, your home more energy efficient, and heat loss and ice dams in check.

What Sets Our Experienced Eavestrough Repair Team Apart

D’Angelo & Sons has protected Guelph homes since 1978, and more than 45 years on the same ladders is exactly why our eavestroughs and gutters hold up season after season. That track record puts us in the top 3% of eavestrough installers across North America, backed by an A+ BBB rating and thousands of 5-star reviews.

Every eavestrough repair and proper installation in Guelph is carried out by our own in-house crews — we never hand your home off to subcontractors, which keeps our repair services consistent and accountable on every job. And it always begins with a free inspection and a free estimate, so you know exactly what your eavestroughs need before any work starts.

Common Warning Signs Your Eavestroughs Need Repair Now

Guelph homeowners usually spot trouble in one of these ways. Each sign points to a specific failure worth acting on early.

    • Water pooling at the foundation — a sign your gutters aren’t directing rainwater far enough away, which threatens the structural integrity of your basement.
    • Water stains on siding or fascia boards — water spilling behind the eavestrough instead of through it, often from a clog or bad pitch.
    • Sagging runs — full or loose gutters pulling on their hangers, usually from standing water or ice buildup.
    • Separated or leaking joints — the seams have opened up; resealing joints or replacing the section restores the seal.
    • Clogged gutters — overflowing eavestroughs during rain mean debris is blocking flow and inviting rot.
    • Ice buildup and icicles — a classic Guelph freeze-thaw symptom tied to blocked gutters and poor ventilation in the attic.
    • Visible cracks or splits — small cracks grow fast under Ontario’s harsh elements and let water track down your exterior walls.
    • Damaged fascia or rotting wood behind the gutter — the mounting surface is failing and needs fascia repairs before the eavestrough can be re-hung.

Catching these early keeps a minor gutter repair from becoming structural damage — and our repair services cost far less than drying out a flooded basement.

What Eavestrough Repair and Replacement Costs in Guelph

Straight talk on eavestrough repair costs: minor fixes — sealing a leaky joint, re-securing a bracket, or patching a short run — typically land around $100–$300. Larger work such as section replacement, pitch correction, seamless eavestrough installation, or new gutters for the whole home generally runs $500–$1,500 or more depending on scope.

What moves the final number: the total length of eavestrough involved, single- versus two-storey access, the condition of the fascia boards behind the system and any fascia repairs needed, whether your gutters are aluminum, steel, or copper, and whether you add gutter guards. Our eavestrough repair services in Guelph are priced by the job, not padded by the hour, and while some eavestrough companies quote blind, we never do.

Every job starts with a free inspection and a free estimate, and we hold to transparent pricing so you know the cost before we begin, with no surprises halfway through.

    FAQs

How much does eavestrough repair cost in Guelph?

Minor eavestrough repairs like re-sealing a leaky seam or re-securing a bracket usually run about $100–$300. Larger jobs — section replacement, pitch correction, or a new eavestrough installation — typically range from $500 to $1,500 or more. We give a free estimate and transparent pricing before any work begins.

Should I repair or replace my eavestroughs?

If the damage is limited to a few joints, a sagging run, or one cracked section, a targeted repair is the smart, affordable choice. When your gutters are rusted, undersized, or leaking in several spots, a full eavestrough replacement usually costs less over time. Our free inspection tells you honestly which way to go.

    Are seamless eavestroughs worth it?

Yes. Seamless eavestroughs are formed on site in one continuous piece, so there are far fewer joints to leak or separate. They handle Guelph’s heavy rain and freeze-thaw better and need less maintenance than sectional gutters.

    Do gutter guards really work?

Good gutter guards keep leaves, seeds, and shingle grit out of your gutters, which sharply reduces clogged gutters and the need for frequent cleaning. In Guelph’s tree-heavy neighbourhoods they’re one of the best upgrades for long term protection.

How often should eavestroughs be cleaned in Guelph?

For most homes, twice a year — spring and fall — keeps Guelph gutters clear. If you’re surrounded by mature trees near the rivers or Exhibition Park, you may need more frequent visits, or gutter guards to cut the workload.

Do you repair soffit and fascia too?

Absolutely. We handle soffit and fascia repair, fascia replacement, and rot repair, and we make sure your fascia boards can properly support the eavestroughs. Sound soffit and fascia with proper ventilation also protect your attic insulation and energy efficiency.

I needed several windows replaced, a new side door, all siding / soffits / eaves / flashing replaced on the house, and the gables re-sided on my garage. D'Angelo's pricing was competitive - add to which, windows and doors are manufactured locally and working with a single service provider to coordinate all the activity rather than try to do that myself was really convenient.

D'Angelo and Sons did my roof last year and I was very pleased; they were well organized, came when scheduled and worked quickly. The roof looks great. This year, a storm damaged my roof. Carlos Vassallo came out and assessed the damage quickly and gave me an estimate. After dealing with the insurance company for months, we finally got the go ahead...

I am very pleased with the repair to my window capping that Steve F did today. He did excellent work and took the time to fix the problem and make it look fantastic. The problem was more complicated than it looked and he was careful to both protect my siding and windows as well as replace the capping perfectly. I would also like to thank the receptionist at D'Angelo...

We recently made the decision to fully replace our roof after losing many shingles to a windstorm. D'Angelo & Sons was very prompt in their response to our query and we had an appointment for an estimate a few days later. David was great; he was punctual and friendly. He patiently explained to us the condition of our roof and showed us pictures so we could see for ourselves. We feel secure in our decision in choosing D'Angelo & Sons for our new roof.

When we set out to replace our roof this year, we vowed not to make the same mistakes we did the first time. We researched, asked multiple questions, and Glenn was always there for us and happy to answer any questions we had. There are many, many roofers out there, and choosing D'Angelo was the best choice we could have made. The crew was pleasant and efficient, and also happy to answer any question. We would highly recommend D'Angelo to anyone that asks. I'll be calling Glenn in the spring to discuss our eaves and fascia!

My experience with D'Angelo and Sons was altogether positive. From my initial contact with Taylor, we were set up with an appointment with Josh two days later who gave us a full overview of what was needed and the cost. We had two other estimates and found D'Angelo to be comparable in price for the work that needed to be done. They estimated the project would start within 2-3 weeks dependent on weather and their projected timeline was accurate. Jenn was our project manager and she maintain a high level of communication with us throughout the project to ensure that we were aware of what was happening. From first contact with the company to the completion of the project, there was a high level of communication and transparency in the work they were doing. It's been almost 8 weeks since the project was complete and we've been through several significant weather events without issue. I appreciated the level of customer service that was provided by Taylor, Josh and Jenn (and roofing team) and their level of communication throughout the project.

My sincere thanks to Steve (Sales) for your patience with all our questions and Brad (PM) for keeping us in the loop every step of the way. Chad, you and your crew did a great job to get the siding replaced and the work area cleaned up, before our backyard birthday party as promised. Rocky - thanks for going the extra mile to make sure the lighting was done just right! This is our second project with D'Angelo & Sons, which again, was delivered the project on time and on budget. More important than the asthetic improvement from the new siding (which you were right about, Steve!), the house is noticably more comfortable inside, due to the air barrier and insulation added. If I hear of anyone looking for a good contractor for roofing or siding work, I will definitely recommend D'Angelo & Sons.

We had a massive project on our 3 storey 130year old Victorian Home. Roof replacement, siding, windows, soffits, fascia, eavestrough and other cladding and capping as required. The crews arrived on time, they worked safe at heights and steep roof pitches, they were kind & courteous, and cleaned up after each job was complete. As a home inspector, I found the workmanship to be top notch and would recommend them to any of my clients if they required work to their home.
